I called Urban Timber after the ice storm in 2021 because I was terrified that a dead tree in my neighbor's yard was going to fall on my house. Not only did Urban Timber answer the phone on a Sunday, they came out the next day (in … More icy road conditions) to check on my situation (and didn't seem to mind that I looked like a gremlin since I had no heat or hot water). They made me feel confident that everything was safe and advised me on actions I could take to reduce further risks. I hired them to remove another tree that was badly damaged from the storm and they did a great job. Kind, professional, on time, and happy to explain anything I didn't understand. I have recommended Urban Timber to friends who also had a great experience. I plan on calling them again for general tree upkeep. I had Urban Timber remove a tree from my parents' front yard back in November last year. I got 3 other estimates from other companies and Urban Timber offered the most reasonable price without trying to sell other excessive services … More we did not really need! For example, another company tried to charge us for obtaining a city permit, which was actually not required for our zone (I found this out myself by doing research and contacting the City).Urban Timber unfront told me that a city permit would not be required and they went the extra mile to contact the City to double check for me.(Many thanks to Sam in the office for being super thorough, responsive, professional and kind!)Urban Timber was very professional, showed up on time, was excellent with communications and was responsive!Crew got the job done fast and well within the promised timeframe.If there is ever a need again for timber services for any of my friends or family, I would definately go to and/or recommend Urban Timber Tree service.

We had some tree damage during a recent wind storm and there were a few large no-longer-attached branches high up in our trees, as well as damaged branches still attached. For instance, … More when they were called about removing a dead tree on the back of my property, they noticed a precarious dead branch (from another tree) hanging over my driveway and took care of it, too. Such attention to detail is good when you’re talking chainsaws and being suspended high up in the air! The crews are reliable (on time, etc.) and respectful to not disturb other plantings. They are my go-to for tree removal and limbing projects.
